In October of 1976, TURBIMAQ was born in Piracicaba, in the countryside of São Paulo – Brazil , a 100% national capital company founded by entrepreneurs, with deep knowledge of the sugar and alcohol sector who bet on the growth of this sector.
Founded in its current address, in the city of Piracicaba, one of the most important sugarcane poles in Brazil, TURBIMAQ started its activities in a small 10x30m shed, offering maintenance services in steam turbines, in the recovery and manufacture of bearings coated with Patent metal. For this, it counted on a single ROMI MVI lathe and a self-made mineral coal forge.
Over the years, TURBIMAQ realized that its clients needed more steam savings in the already installed turbines, so in a pioneering way, TURBIMAQ was dedicated to study and develop the project that was called Multivalve for the existing turbines. The first Multivalve was installed in a turbine of Bom Jesus Plant – Rio das Pedras – SP, obtaining excellent results.
Since then, many other projects have been developed with the aim of implementing the manufacturing and maintenance process in turbo-machines of the most diverse brands and models, with the latest technology, high quality and technical reliability, so that the TURBIMAQ brand was strengthened and consolidated, not only in Piracicaba, but throughout Brazil and abroad, always with the development and use of new technologies for steam turbines and the provision of services with excellence.
TURBIMAQ does not only seek new technologies for turbines, but also to provide good quality of life and well-being to its employees and the community, at all times having as guideline environmental responsibility.

This year marks a milestone with the signature of our first contract in Italy for the deployement of a back-pressure turbine of 4,5 MW, replacing an obsolete one.
