The single stage turbines of the RC (Curtis Wheel) series have been developed for all types of mechanical drives.
Normally applied to boiler feed water pump drives, the turbines in this series are most often used in standby operation, because if equipped with an emergency oil pump system it enables quick and automatic starting, even in cases of power failure.
The control system can be mechanical-hydraulic, electronic with electro-pneumatic or electronic actuator with hydraulic actuator, thus adjusting the possibilities of control of this series.
These robustly constructed turbines, horizontally split housings, supported on two pedestals, with carbon steel bearings coated with patent metal and lubricated by oil pressure offer high operational reliability.
